How you can get involved…

There are a few different ways in which community members, supporters, and followers can donate and become involved on a one time or monthly basis!

1. 10,000 Paws & Whiskers Monthly Giving Program
Our monthly giving program uses your banking information and a selected dollar amount that you choose is withdrawn from your account and sent to us through an ACH payment. These donations are collected on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend, holiday, or any day that the bank is closed, it would we withdrawn the following business day. These donations are quick, easy, and safe!

10,000 Paws & Whiskers donations allow us to directly impact the animals in our care. Some examples as to how these donations are used are:

  • Paying for vaccines and flea and tick preventatives.

  • Covering medical expenses for sick and injured animals that come into our care.

  • Paying utility bills (Yep, we got those too!)

  • Covering transport costs for spay/neuter efforts and rescue transfers.

  • Covering the cost of a spay/neuter procedure for a family in need.

For those who would like to enroll in the 10,000 Paws & Whiskers monthly giving program, please email us at hello@imperialcountyhumane.org, or give us a call at 760-352-1911. We can send you the form and donor privacy policy via email or regular mail.

2. Monetary Donations
Cash donations can be brought into our office anytime during our business hours. Please do not send cash via mail.
Check donations can be made out and mailed to:

Humane Society of Imperial County
1585 W. Pico Ave.
El Centro, CA 92243

Please make checks payable to: Humane Society of Imperial County

Just like 10,000 Paws & Whiskers donations, monetary donations allow us to provide direct care for the animals.
We keep 100% of all monetary donations!

3. Through PayPal
PayPal allows you set up monthly contributions via your own PayPal account, your debit/credit card, or your bank account information. PayPal does take a small percentage of each contribution.

4. Food and Supplies (or In-Kind Donations)
When items from our Wish List are donated, hungry tummies are filled and the shelter is clean for the hundred of animals in our care! In-kind donations allow us to allocate more funding directly into the animals.

Below is our Wish List of items that we use everyday. Food and supply donations can be dropped off at the shelter during our business hours.

5. Gift Cards
There are a few different local stores that we regularly purchase food and supplies for the animals from. Some of these stores include Amazon, Tractor Supply Company, Costco, Walmart, Petco, PetSmart, Smart & Final, and gas cards from any gas station.

Gift cards allow us to go buy the bulky or heavy stuff we need so you don’t have to!
